About this notice
ALPHASEC Co., Ltd., including persons processing personal data on its instructions or behalf (the “Company”), recognises the importance of personal data. This notice describes collection, use and disclosure (“processing”) by the Company, its staff and persons acting on its behalf under Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 and other relevant laws. The published notice also describes general consent to use and share personal data received from customers or users in their transactions with the Company.
1. Personal data
Personal data means information about a natural person that identifies the person directly or indirectly. It excludes information relating specifically to deceased persons. Examples include names, dates of birth, age, nationality and identification numbers.
2. Sources of personal data
Data may be supplied directly and voluntarily when customers register, become members, create profiles, request products or services, visit the website, contact the call centre or other channels, or participate in seminars, surveys or roadshows. Data may also be collected automatically through cookies or similar technologies, received from affiliates, or obtained from third parties such as business partners, service providers and social media providers.
3. Purposes of processing
The Company uses data to provide, improve, administer, maintain and operate products and services; tailor relevant products and services to customer profiles; provide news, marketing and product or service information; manage customer relationships; verify users and help keep account communications secure and confidential; manage internal operations, diagnose and resolve problems; comply with applicable law; and for other purposes for which consent is obtained before or at collection. When requesting consent, the purpose is explained for the relevant case.
4. Retention
Personal data is retained for a period appropriate and necessary for each category of data and the purposes described above, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.
5. Use, disclosure and transfer
Personal data is kept confidential but may be used, disclosed or transferred to affiliates, business partners, third-party service providers, government agencies or regulators in accordance with applicable law and the relevant consent. Recipients process data within the permitted scope. The Company may work with external providers to deliver the stated services and takes steps, including contractual arrangements where appropriate, to protect the data and require processing on its instructions rather than for providers’ own purposes. Limited disclosures may also be made in response to government requests, legal proceedings, investigations and other relevant legal matters.
6. Security
The Company applies appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data and maintains information security policies and measures intended to prevent unauthorised or unlawful loss, access, use, alteration, correction or disclosure.
7. Your rights
The published notice describes rights to access and obtain copies of personal data; correct or update data; receive portable data in a commonly readable automated format where applicable; request erasure, destruction or de-identification when no longer necessary or following withdrawal of consent; request restriction in relevant circumstances; withdraw consent previously provided; and object to collection, use or disclosure. Requests are considered under the applicable legal conditions.
